When setting up a charge it doesn't allow you to enter a negative number.


You are correct. You can not put in a negative charge. If you want to discount a charge, first add the charge to the income form. Then once the charge is listed on the Income form, go to the Discount column and click once. You can discount all of a charge except one cent. So for example if the charge is $500.00 you can put a discount in for $499.99. This will leave a $0.01 remaining which you can pay off by putting in a penny payment or adding it to the next payment you collect.
